Description

Non-Monogamous Collective – Deconstructing RA

About

Cape Town’s non-monogamous community has been growing, and our monthly Non-Monogamous Collective brings together a welcoming group of people with opportunities to connect, learn, and share experiences.

Whether you’re exploring open relationships, polyamory, relationship anarchy, swinging, or any other form of consensual non-monogamy, you’re welcome regardless of where you are on your journey.

Workshop

Deconstructing RA: Creating Structure Beyond Our Default Systems

This workshop explores Relationship Anarchy (RA) as both a philosophy and a lived practice. Together, we’ll unpack core principles such as autonomy, intentional communication, and questioning the social assumptions that shape how we relate to one another.

Rather than treating RA as the absence of structure, we’ll explore how intentional relationships can be built consciously instead of inherited automatically. We’ll discuss internal biases, learned expectations, and the tension that can arise when personal values meet real-life relationship dynamics.

The discussion also extends into kink, BDSM, and alternative relationship styles, exploring how RA can inform power exchange, negotiated agreements, and relationship structures while maintaining clarity, care, and accountability.

Whether you’re completely new to these ideas or have years of experience, this workshop offers space for honest reflection, practical integration, and shared learning.

What to Bring

  • Your own drinks and a small plate of snacks to share (tea, coffee, ice, and glasses are provided)
  • Your curiosity, openness to authentic conscious relating, and understanding of consent
  • If you plan to play, bring your own toys, condoms, and lube (BYOT is encouraged)

Community

This space is rooted in PRICK (Personal Responsibility in Consensual Kink) consent. Unlike some swinging spaces where consent may be assumed, all touch, flirtation, and play must always be explicitly negotiated.

Whether you’re solo-poly, in an open relationship, exploring for the first time, or simply curious, this is a space to meet like-minded people and build community.

BYOT (Bring Your Own Toys)

Some equipment is available, but guests are encouraged to bring their own favourite toys and gear.

Adult Environment

This is an adult-only event where nudity, BDSM, and sexually explicit play may be visible within the dungeon areas. Participation is never required. If you’d prefer less exposure to play, you’re welcome to remain within the social spaces.

Play-Free Social Space

Our social area is a play-free zone for those wanting conversation and connection away from active scenes. Please note that nudity may still be present.

Intoxication Policy

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward intoxicated behaviour. Smoking areas are available outside for tobacco and 420 use. Anyone behaving in a disruptive or unsafe manner may be asked to leave without refund.

Inclusivity & Safer Space

The space welcomes people of all genders, sexualities, relationship styles, races, cultures, religions, and experience levels. Right of admission is reserved.
